Coaches

Sailing is no different to other sports, where the use of a coach has significant benefits that increase the level of skills, satisfaction with, and enjoyment of the sport.

Instructors

If you are an experienced sailor who wants to develop their skills even further, why not become a qualified instructor to pass on your love of sailing to others. We have a full instructor pathway offering qualifications at all levels and across all of our learn to sail and powerboat programs.

Officials

Officiating is a great path to consider. In this volunteer role you will contribute to the fair and safe running of sailing competition and Australian Sailing has a National Officiating Program covering all the following roles - Race Officers, Judges, Umpires, Measurers, & Equipment Auditors.

The Australian Sailing myLearning portal has a catalogue of free and useful online courses created by Australian Sailing and Sport Integrity Australia that could benefit clubs, members, volunteers, administrators and instructors.

Training in Focus - Live 

The emphasis of each Training In Focus - Live is to develop your instructing skills and to update you on various aspects of the Discover Sailing program. Training In Focus – Live is an annual face-to-face workshop held in each State/Territory.
