Appeals Published

The Australian Sailing appeal panels have had a busy few months with 8 new appeals being heard and resolved.
These appeals are from a range of incidents, boats coming together on separate courses, a prestart incident, confusion around instructions on the Sailing Instructions and protests that needed to be reheard.
Reading appeals is instrumental in understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing. However, appeals themselves have a set of rules that need to be adhered to. There is a strict timeline around when an appeal can be lodged and what documents and evidence is needed to be lodged with it.
There is extensive information on the Appeals page of the Rules Hub which will guide an appellant in the process.
