Published Wed 27 May 2026
Australian Sailing is proud to congratulate four Australians on their recent appointments as World Sailing Race Officials, recognising their knowledge, experience, and dedication to the sport.
The four newly appointed officials are James Sly from Victoria (International Race Officer), Ed Vincent from the Northern Territory (International Judge), Erica Kirby from New South Wales (International Judge), and Australian Sailing’s own Chris Zonca, also from NSW, who has been appointed as an International Measurer for the Finn Class. Their appointments place them among a highly respected group of officials recognised internationally for their knowledge, experience and commitment to the sport.
Australian Sailing congratulates James, Ed, Erica and Chris on this outstanding achievement and also recognises those who have supported them along the way. Their success is an inspiration for the next generation of officials aspiring to make their mark locally, nationally and internationally.
