Expressions of Interest Invited
Published Thu 23 Oct 2025
The IRC/ORC Owners’ Committee is an important Board sub-committee to represent the views of boat owners on matters relating to the IRC and ORC rating systems. The principal role of the committee is to provide feedback to Australian Sailing on policies and rules in either system, andadvocate to clubs which conduct events using the rating systems.
A high level of knowledge in one or both rating systems is necessary, plus a clear commitment to boat ownership and competing in IRC or ORC scored events. Successful candidates will be available and committed to engaging with the committee members and Australian Sailing.
The meetings of the IRC/ORC Owners’ Committee are held using Microsoft Teams and are typically scheduled quarterly or around the governance cycle of each rating system.
Owners of IRC or ORC rated boats are invited to express interest in being appointed to Australian Sailing’s IRC/ORC Owners’ Committee by emailing ratings@sailing.org.au including a brief biography outlining boat ownership, rating rules knowledge and issues of interest. Expressions of interest close on 1 December 2025.
