World Sailing Race Management Seminar
Published Mon 20 Apr 2026
The Race Management Seminar is intended to improve the standard of race management and to assist people who wish to become an International Race Officer. Successfully completing the seminar is one of the requirements to become accredited as an International Race Officer.
Delivering this seminar will improve the standard of officiating across Australia and upskill a new generation of race officials aspiring to International accreditation. Investing in people is a key theme of the Instructor, Coach and Official Development Strategy.
Those wishing to attend the seminar must be a current National Race Officer or have proven experience of race management at national level. Places are strictly limited and so World Sailing runs an application process. Applying does not guarantee you will be accepted, so interstate candidates should hold off on travel arrangements until places are confirmed.
Registrations are now open, and close on 11 May 2026: https://www.sailing.org/our-sport/race-officals/education/seminars-clinics/world-sailing-race-management-seminar-melbourne-aus-4-6-sept-2026/.
Applicants will need a letter from Australian Sailing confirming their eligibility to attend the seminar; to obtain this, please contact Melanie Peasey (melanie.peasey@sailing.org.au).
