Measurer

Measurer Program

Measurers apply the correct techniques and processes to sailing equipment control, within the limits of the Racing Rules of Sailing and the Equipment Rules of Sailing (ERS)

Measurers check sailing equipment against the relevant rules (class or rating rules) and verify that "certified" equipment is still in compliance with the "rules". This is called "event measurement" or "equipment inspection".

The Australian Sailing Measurer courses provides a structured approach to learning the correct techniques to conduct fundamental measurement and certification for a Class or Association that the individual is endorsed by.

The Measurer seminars are aimed at educating Australian Sailing members in fundamental measurement and current measurement trends for the purpose of equipment certification and equipment inspection.
